1 Mile Cardio Circuit

I really didn’t want to do cardio Saturday. I mean, it’s the weekend after all! But, I’ve found that I’m more likely to stick to my routine if I add at least ONE workout on Saturday or Sunday. My diet is better, my sleep is better, I don’t feel like I’m being lazy…I could go on and on about the changes I’ve noticed since implementing this. I had a busy Saturday schedule planned since my friend Kris was coming to STL for an Olympic Lifting event and I wanted to spend some time with her. After I got done training my clients, the last thing I wanted to do was get on the stairmaster. So for a change of scenery, I went to TWA (Thoroughbred Wrestling Academy) for some quick cardio. BONUS…since it was on the way to meet up with my friend! Here’s the circuit: 400 m run (Sprint) 20 Burpees 20 V-ups 20 Kettlebell Swings 25 Rope Slams or Wabbles with the Beast Ropes
  • Repeat for 4 rounds
My mile time was 6:40, which I was happy with considering I really didn’t want to workout! I will definitely be trying this circuit again on days when I don’t want to spend 20-30 minutes on the treadmill or stairmaster. Give it a try and let me know what you think! Signature
